Terms of Service

Last updated: July 5, 2026

1. Who we are

Zen College Consulting (“Zen,” “we,” “us”) provides one-on-one college admissions advising. Contact: hello@zencollegeconsulting.com. By booking a session or purchasing a package, you agree to these terms.

2. What you're buying

Our services are advising hours: scheduled video sessions with an advisor, plus written summaries and, where included, written feedback between sessions. The Essay Studio package is sold as a defined deliverable (revision support for a set number of essays within a set window). We advise, edit, and pressure-test — we do not write application content, and all work product remains the student's own.

3. No outcome guarantees

We never promise, imply, or guarantee admission to any school, scholarship, or any other outcome. Nobody honest can. Payment purchases our time, preparation, and candid advice — not a result.

4. Scheduling, cancellation, and no-shows

Sessions are booked through our scheduling links. You may reschedule or cancel at no cost with at least 24 hours' notice. With less notice, or if you don't attend, the session counts as delivered and one hour is deducted — though we waive this the first time, always. A session is considered delivered when it is attended, or when it is missed without the required notice.

5. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe at the prices shown at purchase. Unused package hours are refundable in full, no questions asked — email us. Hours already delivered, and Essay Studio engagements after the first live session, are not refundable. If something feels wrong, contact us before disputing a charge; we resolve refund requests quickly.

6. Session recording and AI-generated notes

Sessions are recorded and/or transcribed, and an AI tool generates a written summary that we review and share to your private folder. By booking, you consent to this on behalf of yourself and your student. Recordings and notes are private to your family, your advisor, and Zen — see the Privacy Policy.

7. Academic integrity

We do not write essays, complete applications, or misrepresent students. You agree not to submit our advisors' words as the student's own; feedback is guidance, not ghost-writing. We may end an engagement (with a refund of unused hours) if asked to cross this line.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these services is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including admissions outcomes.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; the version at zencollegeconsulting.com/terms at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. Questions: hello@zencollegeconsulting.com.
